Look for the moon and more tonight in eastern Maine

Remember the song from ‘Hair’

When the moon is in the seventh house
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will rule the stars
It’s the dawn of the Age of Aquarius

Now, the moon will be in the sky tonight. With a few guests.

The moon in the 7e house has to do with horiscopes, and means

you only feel emotionally satisfied when you are in a romantic relationship.

And tonight, let’s keep our fingers crossed, it’s clear enough to see the moon in the eastern Maine sky, because if it does, we will be able to see an astrological event.

Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus will be visible for most of this month, but tonight the crescent moon will align with these three planets. So put away your Uranus jokes and take a peek into the southwestern sky after dark.

Sorry. I should stick to the Uranus jokes.

This celestial alignment will be visible all over the world, but in many places due to light pollution it is not the same as we can see when we go out in Maine tonight.

We just need it to be cloudless for the free view.

Please, if that doesn’t happen, don’t shoot the messenger. Our friend Todd Simcox only predicts the weather, he doesn’t have the power to grant wishes and change the current weather. Not yet anyway.

We could also see meteors left over from the recent Geminid meteor shower across the sky.

Set an alarm on your phone if you have to, to go out and take a look at this rare event.
